According to the updated Help Center page on X, unverified accounts are now reportedly limited to just 50 original posts and 200 replies per day. That’s a massive drop compared to the older rule that previously allowed around 2,400 posts daily. What’s even stranger is that parts of the same support page still mention the old 2,400-post limit, making the entire rollout look rushed or unfinished. Many users say they were never formally informed about the update and instead found out through error messages after reaching the cap.
X Pushes Harder Toward Premium Subscriptions
The timing of this move has sparked fresh criticism toward the company’s growing push for paid subscriptions. Ever since Elon Musk took over the platform, X has aggressively promoted its Premium plans, especially the blue-check verification system that was once reserved for public figures and notable accounts. For people who don’t want restrictions, X Premium’s Basic tier currently starts at around $3 per month or $32 yearly. While that may not sound expensive to everyone, many users online argue that posting freely on a social media platform should not require a paid subscription.
