The foldable phone race is heating up again — and Honor seems ready to make a bold statement.
Just days before its official unveiling, the company teased the upcoming Honor Magic V6 on Weibo, showing off what could be its biggest selling point: a nearly invisible crease on the inner foldable display. If the teaser images are anything to go by, Honor may have finally cracked one of the biggest pain points in foldable smartphones.
The device is set to launch on March 1, just ahead of MWC 2026.
A Foldable With Almost No Fold Line?
In the teaser shared by Honor product manager Fei Wang, the Magic V6 appears fully unfolded with a flat, tablet-like inner screen. Most foldables still show a noticeable line down the middle — but here, the crease looks barely visible.
That detail alone could change the viewing experience entirely.
The phone features a book-style design with slightly rounded corners and a metallic finish. The USB Type-C port is visible at the bottom edge, and overall, the device looks slim and refined.
According to the executive, the crease-free look has been achieved without compromising thinness or weight. He also claims that performance, battery life, and user experience haven’t taken a hit — hinting at improvements in hinge engineering and display technology.
Red Finish and Triple Camera Setup
Honor has also teased the Magic V6 in a striking red colour variant. The rear panel appears to house a triple camera setup alongside a dual LED flash.
The bold red shade suggests that Honor is not just focusing on engineering but also on premium aesthetics — something that has become crucial in the high-end foldable segment.
Big Battery, Faster Charging
Beyond design, the Magic V6 is expected to pack serious power.
Reports suggest the foldable could feature a massive 7,000mAh battery — unusually large for a slim foldable device. If accurate, that would immediately give it an edge in endurance.
It is also expected to support 120W fast charging, which could significantly reduce downtime despite the large battery size.
Competition Is Getting Intense
Honor isn’t entering an empty arena.
The Magic V6 is expected to compete with the upcoming Oppo Find N6 and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7. Oppo has already teased a crease-minimised display, while Apple is reportedly working on its first foldable device with a narrow 0.15mm crease.
That means Honor’s nearly invisible fold line could become a major differentiator — especially if it delivers in real-world usage.

The Honor Magic V6 will be unveiled on March 1 during the company’s “AI Device Ecosystem Era” event. Interestingly, it will launch alongside something called the Robot Phone, indicating that Honor may be pushing a broader AI-focused product strategy this year.
