Samsung Launches Galaxy F70e 5G at ₹12,999 with 6,000mAh Battery & 6 Years Updates

Samsung has quietly expanded its budget 5G lineup in India with the launch of the Galaxy F70e 5G, marking the debut of the new F70 series. Aimed squarely at value-focused buyers, the device blends a large battery, long software support, and a refreshed design — all under ₹15,000.

The phone will be available via Flipkart and Samsung’s official online store starting February 17.

Price & Availability

The Galaxy F70e 5G is priced at:

  • ₹12,999 for the 4GB RAM + 128GB storage variant
  • ₹14,499 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage model

Samsung is also offering an introductory instant discount of ₹500.

The handset will be sold in Limelite Green and Spotlight Blue colour options.

Display & Design

The device sports a 6.7-inch HD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate — a notable feature at this price point. It offers:

  • Peak brightness up to 800 nits
  • 260ppi pixel density
  • Support for up to 16 million colours

On the design front, Samsung has added a leather-textured rear panel to give the phone a more premium in-hand feel. The camera module is housed inside a pill-shaped bump, while the front features a waterdrop notch for the selfie camera.

Performance & Hardware

Under the hood, the Galaxy F70e 5G is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 6300 octa-core chipset, clocked up to 2.4GHz. It is paired with an ARM Mali-G57 GPU and up to 6GB LPDDR4x RAM.

Samsung claims the phone scores around 6,23,000 points on AnTuTu, positioning it competitively within the entry-level 5G segment.

The device ships with 128GB of internal storage.

Cameras

On the rear, the phone carries a dual-camera setup featuring:

  • 50MP primary sensor
  • 2MP depth sensor for portrait shots

For selfies and video calls, users get an 8MP front camera.

Battery & Software

One of the biggest highlights is the 6,000mAh battery, designed for extended usage — especially appealing to heavy streamers and gamers in the budget segment.

The phone runs Android 16 with Samsung’s One UI 8 on top.

What truly stands out is Samsung’s promise of six years of OS and security updates — a commitment rarely seen in this price category, where most competitors offer two to three years at best.

Dimensions

  • Size: 167.4 x 77.4 x 8.2mm
  • Weight: 199g

Despite the large battery, Samsung has managed to keep the profile relatively slim and manageable.

Final Words

With the Galaxy F70e 5G, Samsung seems to be targeting buyers who want long-term software support and big battery life without stretching their budget.

At ₹12,999, it doesn’t reinvent the entry-level 5G formula — but it strengthens it in areas that matter most: endurance and updates. For first-time 5G users or those upgrading from older 4G devices, this could be one of the more sensible picks in the segment.
