State-run telecom operator BSNL is making a fresh push to attract value-seeking users in India. The company has rolled out a new long-term prepaid recharge called the Bharat Connect Plan, while also announcing a significant price cut on its Superstar Premium broadband plan, bundling faster speeds with OTT benefits at a lower monthly cost.
Together, the moves signal BSNL’s intent to strengthen its position among users who want consistent data, fewer recharges, and bundled digital entertainment.
BSNL Bharat Connect Plan: price, benefits, validity
The newly launched Bharat Connect Plan is priced at ₹2,626 and comes with a full 365-day validity, making it a year-long prepaid option for heavy data users.
As confirmed by BSNL on X, the plan includes:
- 2.6GB high-speed data per day
- Unlimited voice calls across all networks
- 100 SMS per day
The plan is clearly aimed at users who rely on daily mobile data and prefer not to recharge frequently. With over 2.5GB of daily data and a one-year validity, it positions itself as a convenience-focused alternative to monthly or quarterly packs.
BSNL has clarified that the Bharat Connect Plan is a limited-period offer, available from January 24 to February 24. Users can recharge via BSNL Recharge Express (BReX), which is accessible through the company’s official chatbot.
Superstar Premium broadband plan gets cheaper
Alongside the prepaid announcement, BSNL has also revised pricing for its Superstar Premium broadband plan, making it more competitive in the home internet space.
The plan now costs ₹799 per month, down from the earlier ₹999 price point. At this revised rate, users get:
- 200Mbps internet speed
- 5,000GB monthly data allowance
To sweeten the deal further, BSNL is offering a 20 percent discount for customers who choose a 12-month advance payment, reducing the effective monthly cost even more.
The discounted pricing will remain valid until March 31, 2026.
OTT platforms included with Superstar Premium
The Superstar Premium plan continues to bundle access to multiple OTT platforms, adding entertainment value to the broadband offering. Subscribers get access to:

- Lionsgate
- JioHotstar
- Epic On
- Hungama
- Shemaroo
Users can upgrade to the Superstar Premium broadband plan through BSNL’s WhatsApp support channel, making the process relatively straightforward.
